Honda HR-V S Gets Up to ₱150,000 Off Until September 30

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. is offering up to ₱150,000 in cash savings on the 2026-model-year Honda HR-V S CVT through September 30, 2026. The extension of its Signature Style, Smart Savings campaign gives buyers another opportunity to reconsider Honda’s entry-level HR-V. More importantly, it changes where the crossover sits against competing models—not just how attractive its monthly advertisement looks.

Honda’s promotional table lists the HR-V S at ₱1,460,000 before the discount. Applying the full ₱150,000 savings produces a calculated vehicle price of ₱1,310,000; Platinum White Pearl starts at ₱1,480,000, or ₱1,330,000 after the same discount. These calculations remain subject to eligibility and the dealer’s final quotation, rather than representing a guaranteed all-in transaction price.

What does the discounted Honda HR-V S offer?

The Honda HR-V S uses a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 121 PS and 145 Nm, paired with a continuously variable transmission. Honda SENSING is standard, including Collision Mitigation Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, and Lane Keeping Assist. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included, so choosing the entry variant does not mean giving up the essential smartphone and driver-assistance features.

There is still an important distinction: this is not the HR-V RS e hybrid. Buyers considering the S should evaluate it as a conventional gasoline crossover with useful safety equipment, rather than expecting the hybrid’s drivetrain or efficiency characteristics. The discount improves its purchase price; it does not change the vehicle underneath.

Does ₱150,000 off make it a better buy?

One relevant alternative is the BYD Sealion 5 DM-i, currently listed by BYD Cars Philippines at ₱1,268,000. That puts the plug-in hybrid ₱42,000 below the HR-V S’s calculated discounted price, compared with a ₱192,000 gap against Honda’s undiscounted figure. This is a purchase-price comparison—not a claim that the two vehicles have identical dimensions, equipment, or ownership requirements.

That narrower gap makes the Honda easier to consider, particularly for buyers who prefer its conventional drivetrain and place value on their existing relationship with a Honda dealership. It does not automatically settle the argument against electrified alternatives. Fuel costs, charging access, servicing, insurance, and the equipment buyers will actually use still deserve attention.

Our take: the discount makes the HR-V S a stronger shortlist candidate, but not an automatic winner. Ask for an itemized quotation, confirm the eligible model year and color, and check whether your preferred financing arrangement changes the available savings. Compare the total amount payable—not just the downpayment—before deciding whether this particular Honda offer works for you.

  • Hyundai PH Extends Game On Promo With Up to ₱700,000 Off Until September 30

Hyundai PH Extends Game On Promo With Up to ₱700,000 Off Until September 30

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) has extended its Game On promotion until September 30, 2026, with cash discounts reaching ₱700,000 on select Hyundai Santa Fe variants. The campaign also covers the Custin, Stargazer, and Elantra, alongside fuel rebates and financing offers. Buyers should check the specific variant and model year, however, as the headline savings do not apply across every model’s range.

Hyundai Santa Fe and Custin lead the discounts

The four models highlighted in Hyundai’s release carry the following maximum cash discounts:

    ModelMaximum cash savings
    Hyundai Santa Fe₱700,000
    Hyundai Custin₱600,000
    Hyundai Stargazer₱270,000
    Hyundai Elantra₱170,000

Hyundai’s published mechanics assign the ₱700,000 Santa Fe discount to the 2024-model-year GLS 2WD and 2025-model-year GLS AWD. The Custin’s ₱600,000 discount applies to the 2024-model-year Premium, while the corresponding 2025 unit receives ₱500,000 off. That makes the model year worth checking before comparing dealership quotations.

Selected Santa Fe variants also receive ₱50,000 in fuel rebates, while qualifying Custin and Stargazer units receive ₱20,000. Stargazer buyers additionally get free basic periodic maintenance for one year or 15,000 km, whichever comes first. Elantra offers include fuel rebates of up to ₱20,000 on selected variants, but these should not automatically be combined with the model’s maximum cash discount.

Financing options and September mall displays

Hyundai Finance is offering low-downpayment and low-monthly-payment arrangements through BPI, RCBC, and EastWest Bank. These are separate financing options, with approval and conditions set by the participating banks. Buyers should compare the required cashout, repayment period, and total amount payable—not just the advertised monthly figure.

Hyundai is also holding mall displays throughout September, including stops at SM City Naga, Cebu, Lipa, La Union, Puerto Princesa, and Tarlac, plus Centrio Ayala Mall. These provide an opportunity to inspect the vehicles before requesting a quotation. The Game On promotion is available through authorized Hyundai dealerships nationwide until September 30, 2026.
